free friday & ruined paint brushes

t.g.i.f?
as a parent & wife, that doesn't mean much to me anymore,
my days run into more days, which run into more laundry & three crazy kids spilling cup after cup of juice..
BUT! today they are going to paint, got a few old shirts of my husbands, & some new paint brushed for them.. going to let them go at it & see what their creative minds come up with.

just now, as i was typing my sons (Mason) came up to me with his hands behind his back (NEVER a good sign) he shows me MY new paint brushes, ruined... looks like we will be making a trip to the crafts store..
i need to buy primer anyway.

i hope everyone has a great weekend, & enjoys SUPERBOWL,
even tho my Patriots didn't make it, i will still watch...

rambling & rambling..

Today's To-Do-List just doesn't seem exciting today..
We were supposed to transfer our plants, BUT the weather is going to stop us.
PLAN B- let the boys paint!

I catch myself getting SUPER side-tracked this week,
even with my list in front of me...
I still have a few paint touch-ups to do in the kids room.
I am looking for some tips/ideas on room decor for them,
we are going towards a Dodgers theme or Pirate theme, I want to find an anchor (not super HUGE & HEAVY) but big enough that I can paint & add knobs (towel hanger) and stick it on a wall in their room..
Looks like i just Vetoed the Dodgers theme...

Any color suggestions?
Their room is a nice blue, with white trim..

FRIDAY we do a craft..
Hope everyone is READY!

my first ebay adventure...

i had some items i wanted to sell, so i can have some craft money :]]
ugh what a headache! but thanks to friends who use ebay,
i know what im doing now..
i am just so worried about the scammers..

tomorrow i am making a BIG BOY CHART for Morgan & Mason..
lets hope we can all follow it..
its only 4pm & i am ready for my glass of wine & the bachelor..

our planting adventure-- update!!

OK, so Morgan & Mason planted some seeds on Jan. 21st & boy have they grown!
I will post some photos in a few days (I am dying of a toothache & run to the ground by 3 wild kids)
They check their plants everyday & water them, and take them outside to get some "freshness"
I hope once we transfer them to bigger pots they stay alive...
Not only are we watching their PLANTS grow, but we have started a Growth Chart on the wall...
Its official!

Also, I am so happy to see fellow bloggers & friends commenting my posts and following me.
You gals are GREAT!
Happy Monday!
I can not believe tomorrow is February 1st already...

day one; post two

CRAFT #2
DECORATING WOODEN LETTERS
*THESE ARE FUN & SO EASY, & LOOK ADORABLE IN ANY ROOM.

I BOUGHT THREE M'S (ALL 3 OF MY SONS FIRST NAMES START WITH M)
AT THE LOCAL CRAFT STORE
FOR $3 EACH,
A FEW TUBES OF ACRYLIC PAINT (ANY COLORS YOU WANT) FOR A LOW PRICE OF $.60/EA.
THE LETTERS COME IN WOOD OR WHITE (THE WHITE ARE ALREADY PRIMERED)

YOU CAN PAINT THE LETTERS ALL ONE COLOR OR YOU CAN DO SOME TYPE OF DESIGN, LIKE BELOW:
*THE POLKA DOTS WERE DONE WITH THE CAP TO THE SALT SHAKER, PAINT THE LETTER WHATEVER COLOR YOU WANT, LET DRY, THEN TRACE THE CIRCLES & PAINT.
ONCE THEY'RE PAINTED, YOU CAN SPRAY IT/THEM WITH VASPAR CLEAR GLOSS SEALER,
LET DRY & THEN HANG.

day one

well the easy part is done; making the BLOG.

i will try my hardest to post on here daily (nightly due to 3 rowdy kids causing chaos all day)
but i will post craft ideas, pictures or crafts before, during & after, along with easy instructions so you can try them at home.

feel free to subscribe to this, & if you have a FACEBOOK add me, i am always posting on there as well.

if you have any ideas or need help conquering a craft, leave a comment on here & we will see what we can do. i hope this blog is useful to those who read it. Its also a meaningful thing for me, i am now able to document fun & crafty things i do with my boys.

CRAFT #1
HOMEMADE HAND PRINTS-
& TAA-DAA!

THE ABOVE HAND PRINTS I DIDN'T DYE THE DOUGH, I BAKED THEM & THEN FILLED THE IMPRINTS WITH FOOD COLORING & SPRAYED THEM WITH SEALER SO THE COLOR STAYS ONLY IN THEIR HAND PRINTS.
THESE ONES, I ADDED BLUE FOOD COLORING, THE FAR LEFT ONE BAKED FOR A LITTLE TOO LONG, BUT THE MIDDLE & RIGHT SIDE ONES TURNED OUT GREAT, THIS WAS MY 1ST TIME TRYING THIS SO I HOPE ROUND 2 IS A LITTLE BETTER.
